This John Lyall Architects design in Ipswich incorporates a 23 storey icon riverside development and the studios of Dance East. We developed the structural concept for the Client, Wharfside Regeneration. The development was the 2010 RICS East of England Project of the Year and runner up in the category of Housing Project of the Year at the 2010 Building Awards.

We are pleased to announce that this challenging conversion of a church into accommodation for the E15 Acting School of University of Essex has received the Institution of Structural Engineers East Anglian branch 2010 award for structural engineering excellence. The roof of the hall was strengthened to carry trapezes and the church roof strengthened to hang lighting galleries!
