Chartered Structural Engineer
Ideally a Chartered Structural Engineer is required to undertake with the minimum of supervision the design and detailing of small to medium sized projects. The project types will include alteration, refurbishment and new build projects eg residential developments. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the design of structures in concrete, steel, masonry and timber. The candidate will be able to demonstrate a professional competency in structural engineering, ability to earn the respect and confidence of other professionals within and outside the practice, present the practice externally in a manner appropriate to the position as a structural engineer.
Investigator
Experienced investigators. Sound knowledge of insurance claims required and knowledge of loss adjusting beneficial. Should have experience in application of party wall agreements, construction (design and management) regulations and claims handling. Knowledge of commercial investigations of benefit as is interest in historic building investment, repair and refurbishment. Basic design experience in concrete, masonry, steel and timber. The ideal candidate should be working towards obtaining chartered status of Professional Instruction such as MIStructure, MICE, CIOB or already chartered with experience in building defects claims and insurance procedures. Must be a team worker and have excellent communication skills.
